Class list (names stay on this device)
Today's log

A simple way to manage leaving the room without interrupting the lesson. Pupils tap their own name to go out and again when they are back; the pass is blocked once your limit is reached.

How to use the Digital Hall Pass

  1. Open Class list, type one name per line and press Save list.
  2. Choose Max out at once (1, 2 or 3) and when to be warned about a long absence (3, 5 or 10 minutes).
  3. A pupil taps their name to go out, and taps it again on return. A timer shows how long they have been away.
  4. Open Today’s log to review the day, Copy log to paste it elsewhere, or Clear log to remove it.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the log stored?

In your browser’s local storage on this computer. It is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it from the Today’s log panel.

Can I limit how many pupils are out at once?

Yes. Choose 1, 2 or 3 under “Max out at once”. When the limit is reached, other pupils cannot take a pass until someone returns.

What does “Warn after” do?

A pupil’s button is highlighted as late once they have been away longer than the time you set (3, 5 or 10 minutes), so you can check they are all right.

Is it suitable for all pupils?

It should support, not replace, your school’s approach. Some pupils have medical or other needs that mean they should never be limited, so use your professional judgement.
