Frequently asked questions

What happens when the class does not divide evenly?

The groups are kept as even as possible, so some groups have one more pupil than others. For example, 26 pupils in 5 groups gives one group of 6 and four groups of 5.

Can I stop two pupils being in the same group?

Not automatically. Make the groups, then swap names by hand, or press Make groups again until the mix works for you.

Is the list saved?

Yes, in your browser on this computer only, and it is shared with the Name Picker. It is never uploaded.

Can I copy the groups into a document?

Yes. Press Copy and paste into any slide, document or email.
